なぜやるか

Part6は長文穴埋め問題です。4つの文書に各4問の空所があり、合計16問を解きます。

「Part5と似てるんじゃないの？」と思う方も多いですが、Part6にはPart5と異なる点が3つあります。

違い①：文脈を読む必要がある
Part5は1文の中だけで答えが出ますが、Part6は前後の文の意味を確認しないと解けない問題があります。

違い②：接続副詞が正解になる
however（しかしながら）/ therefore（したがって）/ moreover（さらに）などの接続副詞は、Part5では絶対に正解にならないルールがあります。しかしPart6では、文と文をつなぐ役割として正解になります。

違い③：文挿入問題がある
1パッセージに1問、「どの文がこの空所に入るか」を選ぶ問題があります。Part5にはないPart6固有の問題タイプです。

このLesson 01では、Part6の解き方の基本を身につけ、品詞問題と時制問題（Part5でも学んだ知識がそのまま使えます）を練習します。

Part6の解き方 3ステップ

Step 1：文書全体をざっと読む（10〜15秒）
→ 「何についての文書か」をつかむ
→ 詳細まで読まなくてよい。大意だけ把握する

Step 2：空所ごとに「前後1〜2文」を確認して解く
→ 語句問題：Part5と同じ解き方（品詞・時制・前置詞etc.）
→ 語彙問題：前後の文の意味を確認してから選ぶ

Step 3：文挿入問題は最後に解く
→ 4つの選択肢を読む
→ 空所の前後の文と自然につながる文を選ぶ
→ 指示語（this/these/it）が何を指すかに注目する

語句問題は前後の文脈をそれほど気にしなくてよいことが多いです。まず空所前後を確認して、Part5と同じ解き方を試してください。

語句問題①：品詞問題（Part5の知識がそのまま使える）

選択肢に同じ語の形違い（名詞・動詞・形容詞・副詞）が並んでいれば品詞問題です。解き方はPart5と同じ2ステップです。

Step 1：選択肢を見て品詞問題と判断する
Step 2：空所の位置から必要な品詞を特定する
→ 冠詞(a/the) ＋ ___ → 名詞
→ 冠詞 ＋ ___ ＋ 名詞 → 形容詞
→ SV がそろっている → 副詞
→ 前置詞 ＋ ___ → 名詞（または動名詞）

語句問題②：時制問題（文書内の時間軸を確認する）

Part5と同じく、文中の時のキーワードを探して時制を決めます。

last〜 / ago / yesterday過去形
already / since〜 / recently / over the past〜現在完了形
next〜 / tomorrow / by the end of〜未来形

Part6では、文書の冒頭に「日付」や「背景」が書かれていることが多く、それが時制の手がかりになることがあります。

やり方

2練習問題を解く：まず文書全体をざっと読んでから空所を解く
3間違えた問題は解説を読んで「どのステップで間違えたか」を確認する
