なぜやるか
Day 19〜22でリスニング(Part 1〜4)の解法を学びました。
今日からリーディングに戻ります。Part 5の文法問題はPhase 1〜2で徹底的に練習しました。今日はその力をPart 6で活かします。
Part 6は16問(4パッセージ × 4問)のパートです。一見すると長文読解のように見えますが、実際は半分以上がPart 5と同じ文法・語彙問題です。
つまり、あなたはすでにPart 6を解く力の大部分を持っています。
ただし、Part 6にはPart 5にない問題が1つあります。それが「文挿入問題」です。空欄に適切な一文を入れる問題で、前後の文脈を読む必要があります。
今日は文法問題の解き方の復習に加えて、文挿入問題の攻略法を身につけます。

文挿入問題の解き方
文挿入問題は各パッセージに1問出題されます。解き方のポイントは次の3つです。
① 空欄の前の文を読む → 話の流れを把握する
② 空欄の後の文を読む → 入る文が何につながるかを確認する
③ 接続の手がかりを探す → 代名詞(it, this, they)や接続副詞に注目
