なぜやるか
Part7（長文読解）はTOEICで最も時間がかかるパートです。今日は読むスピードと正解率を同時に上げるテクニックを学び、追加練習をします。
Part7 速読3テクニック
テクニック①：先読み（設問から読む）
本文を最初から読まず、まず設問を読んで「何を探すか」を決める。
手順：
1. 設問1〜3（または1〜5）を30秒で読む
2. キーワードをチェック（固有名詞・数字・What/When/Where）
3. 本文を読みながらキーワードを探す
例： 設問に”when will the event take place”とあれば、日付・曜日に集中して読む
テクニック②：スキャニング（検索読み）
特定の情報を見つけるための読み方。 全文を読まず、目的の単語・数字を素早く探す。
向いている設問：
– “According to the announcement, what is the deadline?”（数字・日付を探す）
– “What is the name of the new product?”（固有名詞を探す）
– “Where should customers send their applications?”（場所・連絡先を探す）
コツ： 設問のキーワード（”deadline” / “product name” / “address”）と同じ単語か、その言い換えを本文で探す
テクニック③：スキミング（概要読み）
全体の話題・構造を掴む読み方。 各段落の最初の1文と最後の1文だけ読む。
向いている設問：
– “What is the main purpose of this announcement?”（目的を問う）
– “Who is the intended audience?”（読者層を問う）
– “What is being advertised?”（広告内容を問う）
コツ： 第1段落（What: 何の話か）→ 最終段落（結論・行動を促す文）の順に読む
Part7のよく間違えるパターン
パターン①：選択肢の言い換えに気づかない
- 本文：”sent to the address on file” → 選択肢：”delivered to the registered address”
- 対策：同じ「意味」を異なる言葉で言っている選択肢を探す
パターン②：「NOT問題」で正しい選択肢を選ぶ
- “Which of the following is NOT mentioned?” → 本文に書かれていない選択肢が正解
- 対策：4つの選択肢を一つずつ本文で確認。3つが本文に記載ある→残り1つが正解
パターン③：ダブルパッセージで2つの文書を混同する
- 文書Aに書いてあることと文書Bに書いてあることを混同する
- 対策：設問に”according to the advertisement”など文書の指定があれば、そちらだけ読む
