なぜやるか
Part7は読解問題です。Eメール・記事・広告・テキストメッセージなど、さまざまな文書を読んで設問に答えます。
「長文を読むのが苦手」という方も安心してください。Part7の文書は日常のビジネスシーンで見るものばかりです。正直、難しい文学作品のようなものは出ません。
Part7には54問あり、リーディングセクションの半分以上を占めます。つまり、Part7を攻略できるかどうかがスコアに直結します。
Part5・6との違いは以下の3つです。
違い1：穴埋めではなく読解問題
Part5・6は空所に入る語句を選ぶ問題でしたが、Part7は文書を読んで設問に答える形式です。
違い2：設問タイプが7種類ある
「文書の目的は何か」「何が述べられているか」「この語の意味に最も近いのは」など、設問のバリエーションが豊富です。
違い3：複数の文書を読む問題がある
後半（Q176-200）では、2〜3つの文書を読み比べて答える問題が出ます。これはLevel 3で扱います。
このLesson 01では、Part7の解き方の基本を身につけ、短い文書の2問セットを練習します。

Part7の解き方 3ステップ
Step 1：設問を先に読む（10〜15秒）
→ 「何を聞かれているか」を把握してから文書を読む
→ 全ての設問を暗記する必要はない。ざっと目を通すだけでOK
Step 2：文書を読みながら答えを探す
→ 設問のキーワードと一致する箇所に注目する
→ 文書を一字一句読む必要はない。設問に関係のある部分を重点的に読む
Step 3：選択肢を吟味して解答する
→ 正解は文書に書かれている内容と一致するもの
→ 文書に書かれていない情報や、文書の内容と矛盾するものは不正解
最初は時間を気にしなくてよいです。丁寧に文書を読んで「正解の根拠」を見つける練習をしましょう。スピードは後からついてきます。
