なぜやるか
Lesson 13 ではビジネスメールを扱いましたが、Part7にはお知らせや広告など「情報を列挙する形式」の文書が多く登場します。こうした文書では、同格・並列・分詞句が重なる文が頻出します。このLesson 14を終えると、お知らせや広告形式の文書を構造分解しながら正確に訳せるようになります。
やり方
お知らせ・広告を読む際のポイント
- 文書の種類(お知らせ / 広告 / 案内)を最初に確認する
- 「誰に・何を・いつ・どこで・どうやって」を段落ごとに把握する
- 箇条書きでない長い文はSVを先に見つける
- 同格 { } を先に外してから全体の構造を把握する

The Riverside Community Center is pleased to announce its Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, December 7, at 6:00 P.M. This special event, now in its twelfth year, is held to honor individuals who have dedicated their time and effort to supporting our programs throughout the year.
All volunteers who participated in at least three community events between January and November are eligible to attend. Guests wishing to accompany a recognized volunteer must register in advance by completing the online form available on our website. Seating is limited, so early registration is strongly recommended.
