なぜやるか
Part5では「V + O + 現在分詞（~ing）」と「V + O + 過去分詞（Vpp）」のどちらが入るかという問題が頻出します。OとVの関係が能動（Oが〜する）なら現在分詞、受動（Oが〜される）なら過去分詞が入ります。また「have O Vpp」の使役・被害・完了の3用法は、文脈からどの用法かを判断することが求められます。このLesson 18を終えると、分詞を使ったSVOC構造を正確に使い分けられるようになります。
構文解説
知覚動詞 + O + ~ing / Vpp
see / hear / notice / find + O + ~ing：「Oが〜している（能動）のを見る・聞く・気づく・発見する」
see / hear / notice / find + O + Vpp：「Oが〜されている（受動）のを見る・聞く・気づく・発見する」
The security officer heard someone rattling the locked door.
→ 警備員は誰かが施錠されたドアをガタガタさせているのを聞いた。（someone が rattling する → 能動）The compliance team noticed the IT department installing several patches without approval.
→ コンプライアンスチームはIT部門が承認なしにパッチをインストールしているのに気づいた。（能動）The facilities team found several storage containers stacked incorrectly in the warehouse.
→ 施設管理チームは倉庫で複数の保管コンテナが誤って積まれているのを発見した。（containers が stacked される → 受動）
keep / leave + O + ~ing / Vpp
keep O ~ing：「Oが〜し続けるようにしておく」（継続・進行）
keep O Vpp：「Oが〜された状態のままにしておく」
leave O ~ing：「Oが〜している状態のままにしておく」
leave O Vpp：「Oが〜された状態のままにしておく」
The customer service representative apologized for keeping the client waiting on hold.
→ 担当者は顧客を保留状態で待たせ続けたことを謝罪した。（client が waiting する → 能動・継続）The maintenance team left the conference room equipment disconnected overnight.
→ メンテナンスチームは会議室の機器を接続解除した状態のまま一晩放置した。（equipment が disconnected される → 受動）
have O Vpp（3用法）
have O Vpp は文脈によって3つの意味を持ちます。

→ 運営部長は工事開始前に必要な許可を全て取得し終えた状態にしておいた。（完了・使役）
