なぜやるか
Part5では「Without A, S + would + 原形（Aがなければ）」や「otherwise（さもなければ）」で仮定法の条件を語句に置き換えた形が出題されます。また「If S should + 原形（万一〜するようなことがあれば）」「If S were to + 原形（たとえ〜とすれば）」の未来の仮定と、if を省略した倒置形「Should S / Were S to」も問われます。このLesson 26を終えると、仮定法の条件を様々な形で表す構文を正確に使いこなせるようになります。
構文解説
without / with / otherwise で仮定を表す
Without A, S + would + 原形：「Aがなければ〜だろう」（= If it were not for A）現在の仮定
Without A, S + would have Vpp：「Aがなかったなら〜だっただろう」（= If it had not been for A）過去の仮定
With A, S + would + 原形：「Aがあれば〜だろう」（現在の仮定）
otherwise：「さもなければ / そうでなければ」（= if not）
Without the cross-functional project management system, the company would struggle to coordinate simultaneous initiatives across multiple regional offices.
→ クロスファンクショナルなプロジェクト管理システムがなければ、複数の地方オフィスにまたがる同時並行のイニシアチブを調整するのに苦労するだろう。（現在）Without the emergency credit facility negotiated last quarter, the startup would not have survived the sudden contraction in market demand.

If S + should + 動詞の原形：「万一〜するようなことがあれば」（低い可能性の仮定）→ 倒置：Should S~
If S + were to + 動詞の原形：「たとえ〜するとしたら」（実現の可能性を問わない仮定）→ 倒置：Were S to~
